Martin Yepes

Martin Yepes graduated from St. Mary’s College of Maryland with a bachelor’s of science in biochemistry. His senior thesis was on the thermal degradation of sucralose on metal surfaces. Other projects have included research into the effect of trace amounts of cadmium on the in vivo function of mismatch repair, and the intersection between MMR and epigenetic proteins. As a second year PMB student in the Xiao lab, he currently studies the dynamics of lytic transglycosylases during cell division.
