Frances Harris

Fran graduated from Yale University with a degree in Applied Mathematics. In undergrad, she studied chromatin dynamics in S. Cerevisiae. As a bioinformatics analyst for AMPEL Biosolutions, she studied gene expression patterns in lupus patients with cutaneous symptoms. She joined Johns Hopkins’ Program in Molecular Biophysics in 2019. In the Xiao lab, her research focuses on the molecular mechanisms underlying gene regulation.
